| Fort Myers Beach -
Fort Myers Beach is a barrier island located off the Southern Gulf Coast of Florida. close to Fort Myers, Sanibel, Naples, Marco Island, and The Everglades. Fort Myers Beach is a very popular vacation destination.
Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall, Fort Myers Beach is known as one of the top locations in the USA for the most perfect weather! Fort Myers Beach actually consists of two islands: At the north end is a very small island, known as San Carlos Island. This island is caught between the bay and the ocean. Restaurants, shopping, and marinas are the main staples of the island. The larger of the two islands is Estero, approximately 8 miles long to the south.
The north end of Estero island is known for its many hotels, 'the fishing pier' and 'Times Square.' The pier is exactly that; many fish from the pier, and others observe the setting sun from this strategic location. |

| |
|
| The city has a population of just 6900 people, but over
one million people visit Fort Myers Beach each year. The
town is situated on Estero Island and is seven miles
long and one mile wide at its widest point. The
lifestyle is casual, but business is serious - even when
conducted in shorts and sandals. Tourism fuels the
hotels, restaurants and amenities industries on the
island. With Gulf of Mexico temperatures ranging from a
temperate 74 degrees in January to over 90 degrees in
the summer, Fort Myers Beach is likely to continue to be
an extremely attractive vacation destination. |
